Our Methodology

The six criteria

Every platform we cover is assessed against the same six areas, whether it appears in a full review, the ranking at Cam Sites, or a head-to-head comparison:

• Model variety — the range of categories and the number of active broadcasters, based on what’s publicly visible on the platform.
• Pricing — how the token or credit system works, what’s free versus paid, and how transparent the platform is about costs before a user spends anything.
• Private features — what a private or one-on-one session actually includes (cam-to-cam, group shows, messaging), and how clearly that’s explained on the platform itself.
• Mobile experience — whether the platform works well in a mobile browser or has a dedicated app, and how that compares with using it on desktop.
• Safety & privacy — what the platform states about account privacy, discreet billing, and account security. This is summarized in our guides rather than repeated on every page.
• Support — how a user would get help if something went wrong — the channels the platform offers and how accessible they are.

How we research

Our reviews and rankings are built from publicly available information: each platform’s own site, its stated terms, pricing pages, and features, cross-checked against independent sources where they exist. We update a page when something material changes — pricing, features, or policies — rather than on a fixed schedule.

Note: where a figure or claim can’t be independently confirmed at the time of writing, we mark it clearly rather than presenting it as verified fact.

What we don’t do

• We don’t accept payment for a better ranking, a higher score, or more favorable coverage. Affiliate relationships affect nothing about what a review says — see our Affiliate Disclosure.
• We don’t invent numeric scores or “ratings” we can’t back up. Where you see a ranking order, it reflects the criteria above, not a fabricated point system.
• We don’t embed live previews, thumbnails, or explicit content from the platforms we cover — CamsGuides is an editorial resource, not a content aggregator.

Content is reviewed periodically for accuracy. Individual pages show when they were last substantively reviewed.
